Where are the Engineering Tools?

Engineering teams will often need to manage meters and record physical changes to the network.

While CSRs and cashiers will primarily deal with customers, Engineering will often have to deal with unassigned meters or locations. Because of this Loc/Meters is a search interface to find any meter currently in the system.

  1. You can search for the meter serial number, location id, address, city, account number, and customer name (if available).
  2. Click [Exception Search] and you can exclude the meter, location, or account records from the search. You can also click the Radio buttons [Locations with] or [Meters with] to return only results that have a record of that type.

The engineering team can use cogs to access more tools.

Cogs: Engineering

Engineering has several tools that will be addressed in later sections. Depending on the installation some of these tools may be automated and if so will not display under cogs. Depending on the technology used in a deployment some options, such as AMI Control features, may not be available.
